Pictures of people taking pictures at Angkor Wat - Cambodia

Angkor Wat is an incredible place, a land littered with ancient temples of unimaginable size and complexity. It covers such a vast area that it takes days to explore and at times it truly feels like you are in an Indiana Jones movie. At least, it would do if it wasn't for the bus loads of other people who had the same idea. Within hours of starting my first day tour, I gave up trying to take 'nice' pictures of temples. Every shot had people also taking pictures in it. So I decided to make those people the focus instead.

As well as providing a more realistic impression of what it feels like to be at Angkor Wat, I like to think of these pictures as a celebration of how completely bonkers we all are when it comes to capturing that perfect shot; our fascination with finding a way to frame our experience as though it were a ring we can slip onto a finger. I've done it. You've done it. Now let's look at these people doing it.
